Wicked Melts – Highly Scented Wax Melts
Wicked Melts are dedicated to providing all of our loyal customers with hand crafted highly scented wax melts that are all poured in the West Midlands. While we have hundreds of loyal customers who order from us each month there are many out there who are still yet to discover exactly what wax melts are. If you are one of these people continue to read below to find out more about what exactly a wax melt is and what the process is for using our highly scented luxury wax melts.
What is a Wax Melt
A wax melt is a scented and often coloured clump of wax that is used to release fragrance into a room. Wax melts come in a range of shapes and sizes and can also have a range of intensity for the scent that is used. An easy way to understand exactly what a wax melt is to picture a candle with the wick removed. Due to the lack of a wick the only way to use these melts is to place them in either an electric burner that plugs straight into the mains or have a tea light burner that use a traditional tea light to heat up and melt the wax.
How Long Will My Wax Melt Last ?
While we are unable to comment on the amount of time other suppliers wax melts will last, we are able to say that on average our melts will last for around 60-80 hours in most burners. We would advise that anyone that feels that they are not getting a strong scent from their melts try using a smaller tea light or turning the intensity/heat down on your electric burner. If the wax melt/burner burns too hot it can not only become a fire hazard but also burn off the fragrance oils that are used within the melts. We recommend that our melts are used in traditional tea light burners and are not used for more than 4 hours at a time to ensure your safety.
